Another Long, Long, Long Weekend

Well folks,
Another long weekend, what for? A regatta!
A couple of questions here,... why does having a "boat race' constitute a holiday? what is the signifigance of it, and where the bloody hell is it conducted? I scouted for the usual "pissweak carny" type things like jumping castles, face painting, food poisoning stalls etc...
No one could succesfully answer any of these questions when asked. Again another ruse to have a long weekend, and yes we have another in a couple of weeks for the eight hour day (I always thought there were 24,but maybe I'm wrong?). Maybe there'll be a a day off when there's an "R" in the month day, or there's a week when there isn't a long long weekend, so we have to slot one in.
When does any work get done?
Don't start me on Student Free days for schools.
I must now go off and prepare for the next long weekend....

First sighting of Hot Cross Buns at a well known supermarket chain in Hobart (The Chocolate Variety, low fat , low sodium, lo guilt variety no doubt!)
If Jesus had a grave, (he did for three days, or so the story goes...) he'd be revolving so fast, molecules would be vibrating in the near vicinity.
I've just started recovering from snorting too much tinsel and sucking on alcohol soaked Christmas Cards.
Have we skipped Valentines Day?
Can never work out this Easter thing, one year it's March, next it's April...Pope Gregory has a lot to answer for!!!
